Touching Lives Through Theatre Grants

Grant Requirements

  • Grants are available to accredited public or private schools in the US and Canada.
  • The majority of participants must be of middle or high school age.
  • Applicants must have a designated faculty member sponsor for their theatre program.
  • The drama program must receive $500 or less annually from the school or district. Schools with no prior drama program are also eligible to apply.
  • Applicants may request an amount between $100 and $500 to be used toward the production of a play or musical. Additionally, these funds may be requested for other Pioneer Drama Service resources, such as texts, instructional DVDs or makeup.
  • All material purchased with grant funds is to remain school property and not the personal property of the faculty sponsor or administrator.
  • Mail a cover letter with three copies of the application, postmarked by June 30, 2012.
  • A performance must be staged and all funds used by June 15, 2013.
  • Grant recipients must write a follow-up report and submit digital photos as well as a copy of the performance program by June 30, 2013.

Please follow all directions carefully. We will ONLY accept applications postmarked between April 1 and June 30, 2012. Also, any application we receive that is incomplete, not submitted in triplicate or not accompanied by a cover letter will be automatically disqualified.
