Grant Requirements

Grants are available to accredited public or private schools in the US and Canada.
The majority of participants must be of middle or high school age.
Applicants must have a designated faculty member sponsor for their theatre program.
The drama program must receive $500 or less annually from the school or district. Schools with no prior drama program are also eligible to apply.
Applicants may request an amount between $100 and $500 to be used toward the production of a play or musical. Additionally, these funds may be requested for other Pioneer Drama Service resources, such as texts, instructional DVDs or makeup.
All material purchased with grant funds is to remain school property and not the personal property of the faculty sponsor or administrator.
Mail a cover letter with three copies of the application, postmarked by June 30, 2012.
A performance must be staged and all funds used by June 15, 2013.
Grant recipients must write a follow-up report and submit digital photos as well as a copy of the performance program by June 30, 2013.

Please follow all directions carefully. We will ONLY accept applications postmarked between April 1 and June 30, 2012. Also, any application we receive that is incomplete, not submitted in triplicate or not accompanied by a cover letter will be automatically disqualified.
